Range of maize fertilizers

Triferto presents a sophisticated range of maize fertilizers which fulfil the statutory, practical and agronomic requirements of the modern maize grower.

Range of maize fertilizers

From a manure policy perspective, the permitted scope for phosphate fertilizer on maize is restricted further. For derogation farms this means that besides slurry there is no more scope for additional phosphate application using chemical fertilizer. In order to limit the crop risk and stimulate the initial development of the maize germ good availability of phosphate is important immediately after sowing. This calls for good availability of phosphate from the soil and animal manure. With this in mind, Triferto introduces the two maize fertilizers featuring humic acids, i.e.

  • Maize fertilizer NP 24-0-0 + 0.3B + HUMICoat
  • Maize fertilizer NP 15-0-15 + 0.15B + HUMICoat

A challenge: fertilizing without phosphate

HUMICoat is a 3-component coating developed by Triferto containing humic acids. By coating the fertilizer pellets with high grade humic acids the plant can make better use of the minerals. More phosphate, potassium and magnesium remain available in the soil for the maize plant’s roots. Initial growth, root development and uptake, or absorption, of nutrients is hereby stimulated, in particular where phosphate is not readily available or during periods of dry weather.
