Then this opportunity could be the perfect next step in your career. For our location in Zwijnaarde (Ghent), we are looking for an ambitious and driven International Business Development Manager. 

About Triferto 
Triferto is an international wholesaler of mineral fertilizers and part of the Royal Brokking Group. With a team of 105 employees across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and France, Triferto operates from key offices in Ghent (BE) and Doetinchem (NL).

With over 280,000 tons of storage capacity across the Benelux, we serve a high-quality portfolio of fertilizers to core markets (Germany, France, and the Benelux) and expanding overseas markets including Africa, Central and South America, and Asia. Our ideal end customers include mid-size to large plantations and forestry operations—for example, banana, palm oil, eucalyptus, and pine cultivation.

Your role
To support our growing international ambitions, we are seeking a Business Development Manager with the strategic mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to make an impact. 

  • Be the growth engine behind Triferto's export success.
  • Acquire new international customers in Africa, Central/South America and Asia.
  • Develop regional sales strategies and choose the best business model (direct sales vs. distribution channels).
  • Analyze global fertilizer markets and customer needs for tailored sales concepts.
  • Ensure product availability and optimize optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Manage the Export Team (sales & technical) in Ghent and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Triferto.

Your qualifications and experience

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a commercial, technical, or agricultural field
  • 5+ years in international trade, ideally in the agri-business
  • Fluent in English; French and/or Spanish is a plus
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills 
  • Strong commercial skills, preferably in agribusiness.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Service-minded with good instincts for answering commercial and technical questions together with internal specialists.
